In addition to film and electronic (CCD) sensors, x-rays can be done using a fluoroscope.
This is a screen with a layer shining when hit by X-ray radiation. In ancient times, this method was used
even in hospitals. The doctor saw the shadow of the patient's bones and organs on the screen in real time.
Screen have been produced from platinum cyanide, natrium tungstate (scheelite), Potassium tungstate, fluoride or Uranium hexafluoride.
This method was later discarded due to high doses of radiation received by
both patients and doctors.
Today, this method can be applied at least for screening subjects. As a source of radiation, I again used
6VS-1 tube, described here. Fluoroscope became Puzzle shining in the dark :).
Screening is of course done without the presence of people, switching is done by a digital timer from the microwave oven.
The camera has also set a time trigger. Voltage is 35 - 40kV, current 250uA. Quality of shielding I check with this
radiometer and GM counter.
WARNING!
This site doesn't serve as a guide! it is just a curiosity, not intended for reproduction.
For this reason, I don't describe all safety precautions here. X-ray radiation is very dangerous ionizing radiation.
Passes more or less through all materials, it cannot be completely shield. Exposure can cause cancer, leukemia, radiation sickness,
tumours and other fatal diseases and infertility or mutation of offspring. The device operates with a very high voltage. Do not try this in any case !
If you, despite warnings, decided to implement it, I do not take any responsibility for your damage - everything you do at your own risk.
